"Amazing experience. We hopped on the local bus to Fira, then walked down the stairs to the port. The views were spectacular but beware, the walk down the stairs is intense. The views back to Fira from the boat were gorgeous. The hike up the volcano also offered outstanding views. Wear sensible shoes for the hike. The boat then stops at the hot springs, so my teens loved jumping off the boat and having a bit of time in the springs."
